What is a PPG?
Introducing the Patient Participation Group (PPG) for Camrose, Gillies and Hackwood Partnership (CGH)
Do you know what a PPG is ?
Do you belong to the Camrose, Gillies and Hackwood (CGH) doctors surgery ?
We suspect many of you do not know what that three-letter acronym stands for, so we’d like to introduce ourselves !
The Patient Participation Group (PPG) are a group of 18 volunteer patients and carers who meet formally every two months with practice representatives from the Camrose, Gillies and Hackwood Partnership (CGH).
We discuss and share information and feedback in a very constructive and collaborative two-way dialogue.
Our primary purpose is :
To be a representative voice of patients in raising relevant issues to the practice.
To contribute towards continual improvement in the services provided by the practice.
We also meet informally once a month, currently via Zoom.
We share anonymous feedback and conversations we have had from patients, discuss what is working well, what needs to be improved and agree strategy and what items should be put on the agenda for the next formal meeting with the practice.
We want to hear from you
In order to represent patients, you need to know we exist, and we need to get feedback from you.
You may contact the PPG for any practice operational matter you wish to raise.
IMPORTANT NOTE – Please do not contact the PPG if the matter refers to a medical condition or a clinical matter.
What is working well at the surgery ? – What should we continue and enhance ?
What is not working so well ? – What needs to be investigated and improved ?
Please visit the patient survey on the practice web site and take a moment to fill it in: https://www.cghpartnership.co.uk/contact/friends-family-test/
Would you like to join us ?
We are always on the lookout for new volunteers who are passionate about helping your community and improving medical services. We want to be fully representative of our patient population and do not currently have representatives from Young adults and Young mothers.
If you’d like to join us or find out a bit more about what we do, please get in touch via the practice web site and clicking on the PPG link – https://www.cghpartnership.co.uk/patient-participation/
