New coffee group for mums in Hatch Warren
Mums with babies and young children in Hatch Warren are invited to join a new coffee group.
Hannah Simpson, mum to six-month old son, Leo, has founded the group on behalf of the Basingstoke branch of the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) charity to encourage mums – and dads – in the area to get out and meet other local families.
Hannah said: “Looking after your baby or toddler is wonderful. But it’s also hard work and can be a lonely experience if you don’t know many people nearby. We take turns to host a really informal coffee group in our homes so parents can meet and chat to people who live a buggy-walk away and understand exactly what they’re going through.”
The group meets on Friday afternoons at a member’s home in Hatch Warren or Kempshott. Guests are encouraged to bring a 50p donation to help fund NCT’s work. For more information and to join the group, search NCT Hatch Warren and Kempshott Coffee Group on Facebook.
