Have a go at Croquet and Bowls
For the first time in Basingstoke you can play two very different games at the same place. The merger of Thornycroft Bowls Club and Basingstoke Croquet Club means both games are being played at the bowls green. Most people have a fair idea of how bowls is played however croquet is a closed book to most but is a wonderful game that makes you think as well as giving some gentle exercise.
On Saturday 11th May we shall be holding an open day at our site which is beside the large car park off St Andrew’s road in South Ham (RG22 6TP). You can come and have a go at bowls or croquet or both if you wish. Come at any time between 10am and 4pm. You don’t need any special equipment other than flat shoes/trainers to wear on the green. If you can’t come on the 11th May then for croquet only come any Saturday morning at 10am and you will be made most welcome.
You can find more on our website at www.basingstokecroquet.co.uk – we shall be delighted to see you!
