Hatch Warren phoenix
The Abacus Employment Hatch Warren Phoenix Flames and Blaze have enjoyed a terrific start to their first season in the Peter Houseman Youth League.
Competing against teams from Sherfield-on-Loddon, Chineham, Woolton Hill and Thatcham to name but a few, the boys and girls have formed wonderful friendships and team bond. Whilst the scores within this age group are not officially recorded both teams have enjoyed much success. Not only have they shown the willingness to try their hardest, they have been putting everything they learn from coaches Daren Bavister & Derek Bull into practise. Recently returning from an extended Christmas break due to the poor weather the Abacus Employment Flames and Blaze set off as they left 2013 with some fearless tackles and wonderful shots. Each player remembering the core values of the Phoenix, Having Fun, Passing, Tackling and shooting, with all players showing this in their most recent fixture. The Hatch Warren Phoenix Firestarters (Development Team) are also keen to make their way onto the pitch and cannot wait for their first season in the Autumn of 2014.
It isn’t all about just football.
