Do you enjoy driving and have a few hours spare?
Basingstoke NeighbourCare are looking for volunteers who can provide car transport to those needing to: get to medical appointments, pick up some shopping, go to a social event such, as a lunch club, in and around the Basingstoke area. This is a vital service for older people who can no longer access public transport. This helps keep people connected, making them feel part of the wider community and reduces social isolation.
The volunteering role is very flexible: you choose when and where you volunteer, from weekly to just once a month. You can choose to drive short local trips or longer journeys to hospitals, the choice is yours. It is also very suitable for someone who has a few hours during school drop off and pick up times. Expenses are reimbursed.
