Congratulations to Revd Andrew Micklefield and Revd Michael Smith
Many congratulations to Revd Andrew Micklefield and Revd Michael Smith, who have both been appointed to the role of Honorary Canon at Winchester Cathedral.
This is in recognition of their dedicated service to the Cathedral, the Diocese and the wider church. Appointments are made by the Bishop of Winchester in consultation with the Dean and Chapter of the Cathedral.
Andrew was a big of part of St Mark’s Church before he started ordination training and is now Vicar of the Parish of the Resurrection in Alton. Andrew also is Chair of the House of Clergy in Winchester Diocese and a member of the Church of England’s General Synod.
Michael led Immanuel Church from 2015 to 2018 and also served as the Assistant Area Dean for Basingstoke. He is now Rector of the Parish of Winton, Moordown and Charminster in Bournemouth and Area Dean of Bournemouth.
Andrew was installed at Evensong on Sunday 12th March and Michael will be installed at Evensong, 5.30pm on Saturday 22nd April Winchester Cathedral.
