Camrose Centre for Homeless and Vulnerably Housed people in Basingstoke

Thanks to the amazing staff at GO Outdoors Basingstoke who went above and beyond recently when we went to purchase boots for our clients only to find our voucher had expired!

We had been gifted the £300 voucher which Camrose Support Worker Chris Jenner wanted to use to buy some walking boots that met the needs of our rough sleeper clients.

Thankfully Store Manager Stuart was able to reactivate our expired voucher as well as agree to an amazing series of discounts which enabled us to buy 15 pairs of sturdy new boots.

Chris said “Staff member Gary spent over 2 hours going through nearly every boot in the shop explaining the pros and cons of each. At no time was there any rush or were we made to feel we were being a pain. These are good quality boots that will last clients a few years. Thanks to Go Outdoors for being so helpful and wanting to help our clients”.
