Basingstoke Voluntary Action
June 1st to 7th is Volunteers’ Week and we are seeking nominations for two of your superstar volunteers. We do not set criteria – all volunteers are special. Anything that makes your two volunteers “outstanding” means that you can nominate them. Previous recipients have included school governors, those helping with the elderly, the young, the environment, people helping others with disabilities and a whole lot more. Their ages range from 14 to 91!
Normally we would hold an afternoon tea to celebrate the amazing contributions volunteers make to the community however, this year as we are sure you will appreciate we will not be doing this. Instead nominees will receive a letter of thanks from the Mayor and a small token of appreciation for all their hard work.
We would also like to showcase the marvellous work of volunteers so if you or your nominees would be willing to make a video, write a piece about volunteering or record an interview we would love to hear from you.
